Data pipelines, Talend migration and analytics platforms
Integration, ETL and ELT, warehouses and lakehouses. We take over legacy Talend estates, document them, and migrate them when it is justified — not because it is fashionable.
- Model
- Fixed price or embedded
- Duration
- 6 to 16 weeks
- Expected outcomes
- Dashboards whose numbers stop being contested in steering meetings
- Expected outcomes
- A documented estate that no longer depends on one person
Who it is for
- IT departments with a Talend estate and no remaining internal expertise
- Data teams spending more time repairing than building
- Companies migrating to Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
- Organisations with no reliable view of their data freshness
Who it is not for
- Big-bang migrations with no parallel-run period
- Projects where nobody can arbitrate business rules
- Estate takeover without access to the environments
Deliverables
- Estate inventory: jobs, dependencies, frequencies, downstream consumers
- Data lineage map from source to dashboard
- Pipelines built, versioned, tested (freshness, uniqueness, volume tests)
- Orchestration with incident recovery and named alerting
- Documented semantic layer: business definition of every metric
- Data contracts between producers and consumers
- Operations runbook and historical backfill procedure
How it runs
01
Inventory and lineage
We read the jobs, not the documentation. Output: the real list of what runs, what no longer runs, and what nobody consumes any more.
02
Value-based prioritisation
Not every flow deserves migration. A meaningful share of a legacy estate can often simply be deleted, and that is the cheapest gain available.
03
Build and parallel run
New pipelines run alongside the old ones with automated reconciliation of gaps. Cutover happens only after one full cycle without a gap.
04
Decommissioning
The step everyone skips. We formally switch off the old jobs, archive, and release licences. Otherwise you pay for two platforms for three years.

How the assignment is structured
Three ways to engage this service. The figure is set at the end of framing, once the scope is written: it is the only way to commit firmly without pricing in a risk you would end up paying for.

Frequently asked questions
Should we leave Talend?
Not systematically. A stable, documented Talend estate under active support can stay in place for years. The question becomes real when the version is out of support, when licence cost exceeds value, or when nobody internally can evolve it any more. The audit decides on numbers, not on technology preference.
How do you guarantee no data is lost during migration?
Through parallel run and automated reconciliation: old and new pipelines run over the same window, a control job compares row by row and aggregate by aggregate, and any gap blocks cutover. We never cut over on the strength of a unit test.
Do you work on real production data?
By default no: we work on anonymised or pseudonymised datasets in development. Access to real data, where indispensable, goes through a bastion with no local extraction, is logged, and is governed by the DPA and standard contractual clauses signed beforehand.

Twenty minutes is enough to know whether we are useful
No sales deck. You describe the need, we say whether it is in scope, at what price and on what timeline. If it is not for us, we say so during the call.
